I hope this article finds you all well and COVID-19 free. This pandemic has wreaked havoc on all of us this year as we try to plan and promote our various activities. We have lost some great leaders to the pandemic, but now we must move forward and grow our "Great Fraternity" while having "Fun." By now, our Imperial Sir James R. Smith and Lady Alice have come and gone from our city and we hope they have had a wonderful 500 experience. Next month, we hope to elect our new Imperial Potentate from Indiana, Imperial Chief Rabban William S. "Bill" Bailey from ORAK Shrine Center in Michigan City. Imperial Sir Bill and his wife Lady Debby visited our city in March, and he stopped by to visit our nobles during our spring ceremonial. We extend our wishes for Imp. Sir Bill and Lady Debby to have an exciting and wonderful year. We also thank Imperial Sir Jim and Lady Alice for their dedicated years of service to our fraternity, hospitals and children. We have so many wonderful events taking place here at Murat and it is such an exciting time as we all become vaccinated and healthier. It has been a long time since we've been able to meet and dine together here in our home. And now that the project is nearly complete, it is time to show it off to our friends and family. I hope you all were able to take advantage of the Potentate's Golf Outing at Ulen on May 28. It was a large crowd and the rain did not keep but a few away. Thanks to my Golf Chairman John Montgomery for a great day! I am excited to announce that he has two more outings planned for this year: Winding Ridge on July 26 and Pfau (I.U.) Golf Course on September 24. Thanks to David H. Green for making arrangements for Ulen and Pfau (I.U.) Golf Courses. "Indians Opening Day" baseball game was held on May 11 at Victory Field. It was nice to see our Divan and ladies attending and enjoying a FUN time together while supporting our own local baseball club. You can attend with all of us again on June 18 when Joe Stoutner, Jr. presents Murat Baseball Night at Victory Field. Watch your e-mails closely to learn details about the event. Little Pig, Outer Guard Dennis Young and Lady (Miss Piggy) Nancy Young were both welcomed at our annual Little Pig/Miss Piggy event on May 14. We hope they had as much FUN participating as we did watching. Welcome to both! LIVE SPORTSMAN'S RAFFLE - June 5 at Murat. Please sell and turn in your tickets to the Fraternal Office. This is our primary fundraising event for our operations of Murat. On June 10, we will participate in the Masonic/Shrine Golf Outing at Indianapolis Country Club. All proceeds will be divided between the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation and Murat. Our portion of the proceeds will be donated to our Shriners Hospitals. Please try to attend this event and any other golf outings in your area. The money is always used for a good purpose. All outings are published in our magazine or you can go online to find an outing in your area. Plus, the Fraternal Office does a great job each week of listing golf outings and other special events in the weekly e-mail blast. Please read, make notes and attend. July finds us in Houston, TX, at the Imperial Session July 4-8 where we will look at new laws and electing new officers of Shriners International. I hope you can attend with us to learn more about the Shrine and what we do for our children needing medical attention. Then, Madison County Shrine Club will host their annual Children's Party for the children we transport to the hospitals on July 17. We look forward to seeing you there to help support the little ones. The Masonic Home Golf Outing will take place on July 28 at Hillview Country Club. August then brings us to the Anderson Speedway Parade and
